Krewe of EROS – MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Upon your acceptance into the Krewe of Eros, you become a member of one of New Orleans’ oldest non-parading carnival organizations. Formed in 1935, the founding members cited the purpose of the club: “…to foster a spirit of good will and comradeship…” and “…to promote social activities for their entertainment…”. The royal courts of the Masker’s Club have reigned for more than 75 years in the city of New Orleans. As a fellow Krewe member, you will ensure that the legacy and traditions of Eros continue. Below is a brief list of some of the many benefits you receive as a member.

Prior to the Ball
1. Invitations and Admission to the Bal Masque and Supper Dance
You provide the club with a list of guests, including complete addresses, and the club will mail out formal invitations on your behalf. Admission to the Ball Masque for your guests is provided by the Krewe. (Supperdance tickets are sold separately.) Your guest list will be maintained by the club and updated with additions/deletions by you annually. Your membership dues include two tickets to the supper dance.
2. Court Considerations
As a Krewe member, your recommendation for future court appointments is given preference. Many Krewe members secure ball dates several years in advance when submitting the names of their daughters and granddaughters for the Royal Court.
3. Fall Social
Each year the members are invited to an informal social event where food and adult beverages are served.
4. Krewe Rehearsal Party
The week of the Ball, a catered rehearsal party will be given to review final preparations for the ball.
5. Krewe Costume
